Silvia Lago Martínez is a Sociologist and Professor with the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and a Researcher at the Gino Germani Institute (UBA) where she co-directs the Program for Research on Information Society. She completed her graduate studies in Political Science, Management, and Technology (CEA-UBA), specialising in technology studies, science, and technology policies.
In her academic work and research, she developed several lines of work in the subject of technology and society. She is currently director of the accredited project funded by UBA, "Public policies for digital inclusion in Argentina and the Southern Cone." She has published books, book chapters, articles in scientific journals, and produced videos about the theme of science and technology and digital culture.
